Factory Building Complex

The project was executed with the BMRE (Balancing, Modernizing, Rehabilitation, and Expansion) approach, encompassing a delicate balance of modernization and expansion while maintaining uninterrupted operations. The site originally hosted a small garments building, a dyeing facility, a washing area, a minor administrative sector, and a utility building.

Key challenges included understanding the comprehensive factory operations and expanding the existing functions without relocating them, ensuring seamless integration and initiation of operations post-completion. This entailed a phased approach to balance production and an amalgamation of old and new machinery during the factory expansion.

Upon procuring adjacent land, a new garments building was constructed, enabling the shift of production facilities from the old garments building once completed. Despite client requirements demanding more space than was available, a strategic master plan was devised. This plan ensured each building received optimal north-south exposure, facilitating cross-ventilation within interior spaces. Additionally, buildings were arranged in a zigzag pattern to prevent exhaust from entering neighboring structures.
