Tanveer's Residence

The client wanted a house that’s responsive to its surroundings. The outcome of which is an apparently light outlook so that it weaves with its natural surroundings. The site has a pond located ideally on the east, with the entry on the west. Therefore, walls are placed parallel to the west to protect from heat and glare, while also acting as a sound buffer and privacy enclosure for the open space on the east. This creates an open courtyard that’s thriving with nature while being protected from the outside. In order to connect the house to the courtyard, all the communal spaces have been placed on the ground floor. The first floor contains the bedrooms and family living, ensuring privacy for the dwellers of the house.
